The Annual Lecture series held in conjunction with the Anniversary Observance of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse will be presented on Thursday and Friday, March 13th and 14th.
Historian and author Andrew O’Shaughnessy, Professor of History at the University of Virginia , will present”The Men Who Lost America, British Leadership, the American Revolution and the Fate of the Empire” on Thursday.
Historian and author Don N. Hagist will present “British Soldiers, American War” Friday evening.
The purpose of the Lecture Series is to serve the educational and general interests of the community through the knowledge and insights of distinguished historians speaking on topics of Revolutionary War history.
All lectures begin promptly at 7 PM in the theater of the Park Visitor Center at 2332 New Garden Rd. Seating is limited. Reservations are required. Call 336.288.1776 for information and to register for each night’s lecture. Lectures are free to the public
